Enjoy these photos of Watermelon Day in Rocky Ford, CO in the early 1900s. We believe it was 1903.
The photos were taken by Frank Sherman, who famously photographed a cattle drive by the Holt Cattle Company in southeast Colorado. These photos are in the Bowen collection, and the black and white photos were colorized. (The blog continues below the photos).
