Mike Bowen, co-author, We Found the Lost Sand Creek Site, will present on the book and the incredible discovery of the Lost Sand Creek site, made by his parents, Chuck and Sheri Bowen. This book is an accurate firsthand account of discovery. It also provides clarity on what happened at Sand Creek and where events took place.

Chuck and Sheri spent many years studying eyewitness accounts, researching period documents/maps, and searching Sand Creek for artifacts. Seven miles of Sand Creek traveled through the Bowen family ranch, so Chuck knew finding artifacts would be nearly impossible. Eyewitnesses provided clues about what the land looked like, and since he grew up on that part of Sand Creek, he knew precisely the areas they were talking about.
